Gig of the year! (so far)
It's taken a few days for me to get around to telling you about it, but the Be Good Tanyas at the Festival hall were fantastic!.
Their music doesn't lend itself to easy categorisation, but think of a mix of the Cowboy Junkies meets Bluegrass mixed with deep country, early American folk, lonesome blues and soul. And if this MP3 of 'The Littlest Birds' doesn't get your feet tapping, I suggest you seek medical help!
