The Actionettes at Viva Cake

Enjoyed a top night out at the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, London on Saturday night.

With a frothing review in Time Out declaring the Working Men's Club to be the (ahem) 'best club in London,' the queues were hefty, but a quick bit of guest-listery got us out of the rain.

Inside, it was rocking 50s all the way, with a dressed up crowd getting medieval on the Axminster, while Manic Cough ripped out a feisty Blondie/Siouxsie/Slits meets 60s slab of pop noise.

The Actionettes and the Action Men put in another storming set, we got drunk and - once again - managed to get a cab home!
