Robin Ince at Offline

Despite being bedevilled by a string of post-Glastonbury casualties and one of the acts cancelling after being rushed to hospital, there was still entertainment a-plenty with the Blazing Zoos, Kings Cross Hot Club and our special guest star, Robin Ince.

Robin had embarked on a Phil Collins at Live Aid-esque mission to fit in two gigs in one night, except that he wasn't jetting across the Atlantic in Concorde; he was getting the train from Andover to Brixton.

Back from Glastonbury

Glastonbury festival

Got back last night from another fantastic Glastonbury, despite the never ending rain and rivers of mud.

Glastonbury festival

I'll be posting up a full set of photos soon, but for now, he's a set of photos of the muddy aftermath, taken on the Monday morning. More to come soon.

Offline goes south

Offline at the Alma

Last night the Offline crew ventured south into deepest Crystal Palace, London to put on a show at the Alma, in Church Road.

The Actionettes were as fabulous as ever!

Local band Mendicant put in a great set, Vic's Cabaret was top notch and there was much drinking and dancing to be had. :)

Also up: Offline at the Albert, 9th June

Dartmoor and Devon photos

It's taken me an eternity to post up because I've ended up creating a 14 page, 220 page monster feature, but it's (more or less) finished so I hope you'll like it!

It was a chuffin' fantastic holiday - walking over beautiful countryside, drinking delightful ale, battling with torrential conditions and, of course, compulsory dancing on chairs to a triple-play, back to back Wurzels wig out - and I loved every minute of it!

Littlehampton trip

Littlehampton trip

Spent a lovely day in the West Sussex town of Littlehampton yesterday and checked out the new East Beach cafe which looked great (although smaller than we imagined).

Littlehampton trip

The town was a lot better than we remembered it from our 2003 visit, and we managed to get a fabulous cream tea (an essential part of any seaside trip!).

Strawberry and Green Fairs

Strawberry Fair

Getting in to Cambridge for the Strawberry Fair was a real pain this year, with a completely over the top police presence at the rail station: there were sniffer dogs, metal detectors and several tents set up to search people arriving. Ridiculous.

Thankfully, the festival was as good as ever and the weather was fantastic!

Green Fair

Next day, we headed off to Regent's Park for the Green Fair on another lovely afternoon.

The Morris dancers were real fun too!

Offline with Stewart Lee

Last night had to be the busiest Offline at JAMM ever - the place was totally rammed!

Stewart Lee was fantastic: it was an honour and a privilege to get him down to Offline.
