Goodbye Cardiff’s Ninian Park
Some photos of Cardiff City’s half demolished stadium – a place full of memories for me!

I didn’t even know this was going on, but came across it while we were taking in a winter’s walk across Hyde Park.
I didn’t expect a lot, but it was actually really rather lovely. It’s on till the 3rd January and it’s free.
The whole Borders UK operation is winding up this week, dumping over 1,100 people on the dole on Christmas Eve.
Here’s the last days of the Charing Cross Road branch.

This was the best Christmas shindig we’ve ever had in the house!
Loads of cakes, chums and Christmas cheer and a right ol’ singalong!
Happy Christmas everyone!
The photos don’t really capture the madness – it was one hell of a night! – but here’s a few:

Next Offline – New Year’s Eve party, Prince Albert, Brixton. Come down!
It was massive, and the meal delicious! Big shout out to the wonderful Khan’s restaurant in Brixton.

This was a top night with three-song cover sets by The Loves, Git, Allo Darlin, The Grave Architects and the Escapologists plus a dancing set from the Fabulous Actionettes.

A proper rock’n'roll toilet.
Went along to see some old rock’n'roll chums from way back in the Gossips days at the London Forum last night. Naturally, I got drunk.
And here’s a few photos:

That was a top night with Barking Bateria, The Actionettes, The Cedars and Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer playing live.
Next one is on the Fri 18th Dec at the Albert – and it’s going to be a big one!

Situated slap bang in the middle of Trafalgar Square, one of London’s most famous landmarks and tourist attractions, the Climate Camp picked a perfect place to publicise their cause.
Pitching up after the Wave march on the previous Saturday, the camp was set up to protest against the ‘elitist and undemocratic’ UN climate summit in Copenhagen.
After the famously heavy handed policing at this year’s G20 protests in the City of London, the cops seem to have adopted a ‘softly softly’ approach, with the camp remaining in place on the following Wednesday.

We recently enjoyed a pleasant walk from Broadstairs along the beach to nearby Ramsgate.
We rocked the to the impressive marina but the town centre was a bit on the disappointing side with lots of rubbish 60s architecture.

My first Christmassy thing of the year! Christmas carol singing in a local Victorian park…

Here’s some pics from our walk around the town when it was pissing down with rain. I’ll post up some less soggy pics later.
