Sadly, any hopes of crunching my way through snow that was lying deep and crisp and even over the hillsides of north Cardiff were crushed by the bright sun that greeted Christmas Day.
Still, at least it wasn’t raining, so I chirpily set off for my traditional climb around Graig Llanishen, which leads on to Caerphilly Mountain.

It was a lovely day for a walk (although I still would have preferred lashings of the aforementioned white stuff!).
A last look before I headed home for a well earned Christmas dinner.
