A late summer stroll along the splendid beaches of Tenby, west Wales

I used to visit Tenby when I was a kid, but coming back as an adult I was rather blown away by the beauty of the small West Wales town, especially its broad, sweeping beaches.

We walked from the South beach, past the Castle beach and harbour, before walking across to the end of the North beach – and then dashing to the nearest cafe when a hefty storm started to darken the skies.

  1. Lovely photos. Tenby is like a game of two halves; the first being quiet, comfortable and easygoing, the second being like going to a rowdy party at a relatives house. You’ve caught the former really well. The wide arc of North Tenby beach is beautiful.

I can feel a trip West coming on.
