A sunny Spring Sunday afternoon in Brockwell Park

It wasn’t quite as warm as the clear blue sky suggests, but yesterday we went for a very pleasant picnic in Brockwell Park, a 125 acre park located between Brixton, Herne Hill and Tulse Hill, in south London.

Heading up the hill. The park was very busy.

My favourite tree in the park! I’ve lost count of the amount of picnics I’ve enjoyed by this tree.

The Grade II listed Brockwell Hall which now houses a busy cafe.

Originally built between 1811-1813 as the country seat of glass merchant John Blades Esq, the land and house were acquired by the London County Council (LCC) in March 1891, opening up to the public the following summer.

Tables outside the cafe.

Kids entertaining themselves on a tree branch. It almost felt like summer was here.
