There’s a night of festive fun lined up for the Brixton Albert this Thursday with a 7pm pub quiz followed by the debut live performance of SLEIGHED leading a mass sing-along of Christmas pop classics.
And then there’s the contest to find BRIXTON’S BEST BONO which will feature an EARNEST-O-METER and festive baubles. Read on for the details.

It’s Christmas time, and there’s some need to be afraid as the Offline Club will be hosting a competition to find out BRIXTON’S BEST BONO.
The contest will be held at the end of a rousing festive singalong set from Brixton superstar group SLEIGHED, and contestants will be invited on stage to deliver Bono’s legendary line from the Band Aid single, ‘Feed The World’:
“WELL, TONIGHT, THANK GOD IT’S THEM, INSTEAD OF YOU.”
Points will be awarded for buttock-clenching sincerity and world-changing levels of earnestness, with bonus points for global-warming torrents of heartfelt emotion and millionaire smugness.
The winner will be awarded a bucket of prizes, with all the Brixton Bonos assembling onstage to join in one last chorus – an event that will surely result in the planet becoming a better place for everyone.
