Brixton's lost Banksy graffiti

Appearing opposite the Brixton Academy at the back of the Backstage Bar (on Astoria Walk, SW9) was this “Thug For Life” graffiti by Banksy.

I spotted it in March 2004, although it wasn’t around long before some muppet painted over it.

Graffiti detail. Last time I looked, the wall was painted plain white and the Backstage Bar has turned into a loan shop. Maybe the graffiti is still under there somewhere?

Update: madolesance has posted this picture of the same site on the discussion thread and it shows a different, earlier Banksy graffiti. The photo was taken in 2002.
