Cooling off in Cardiff Bay at the Torchwood Tower

Cooling off in Cardiff Bay - photo feature

On a red hot August afternoon in 2004, kids are seen cooling off in the water feature in Cardiff bay (also known as the Torchwood Tower after its appearances  in the  BBC television series Torchwood and Doctor Who).

Standing approximately 70ft high vertical tower, the stainless steel water feature is an located close to the Wales Millennium Centre and combines reflective surfaces with a constant stream of running water.

Built in 2000, the tower was designed by artist William Pye, in conjunction with Nicholas Hare Architects in 2000. Kids love it!
