Filthy Pedro at Offline Club: photos

The photos don’t even come close to capturing the mayhem that accompanies a Filthy Pedro gig, so you’ll have to take it from me that the night was a whole load of fun.

Musically the band sound like, well, nothing I’ve really heard before.

They feature a punk rock bassist who’s generally more interested in drinking and chatting to the audience than playing the song, a singer who wears a wrestling mask and sings about being kicked out of Anglesey, a permanently confused accordion player and a trained opera singer all combining to make a noise that fluctuates between the most exciting thing you’ve heard for ages and a dreadful noise.

I love them.

Supporting was Hank Haint, an exciting one-mad band who has so much reverb on his voice that you can probably still hear it the morning after. And the week after that.
