Greenwich Comedy Festival: Actionettes at the Silent Disco

Performing last night at the Greenwich Comedy Festival was the fabulous 60s go-go dancing troupe, The Actionettes.

They’d originally been scheduled to dance on a clump of grass barely troubled by passers-by,  but a swift bit of negotiation saw them being relocated into the Speigeltent.

I’m not altogether sold on this Silent Disco concept, to be honest. I go to clubs to drink, dance and chat.

After the laughs have left.

  1. You make an interesting point about going to clubs to chat. We hear it all the time from people: “how will we hear our friends talk if we’re wearing headphones?”

I personally find that conversing is actually easier at a silent disco because if you wish to talk, you take off your headset (completely or partially) and speak normally without having to yell over the blasting sound system.

But great to hear your opinion on it – glad you gave it a try!

Those outfits the go-go dancers are wearing are pretty rad!
