Over the last weekend, The Lexington venue in north London played host to Tapete Records, an independent record label based in Hamburg, Germany.

The label was celebrating its 15th birthday with two shows: On Saturday, Robert Forster, Pete Astor, Comet Gain and Martin Carr played live, and on Sunday, it was the turn of Bill Pritchard, Freidrich Sunlight, Louis Phillippe & the Night Mail, with my own band, The Monochrome Set closing the night.

Here’s some photos from the Sunday show:

This was the kit I got play: a lovely Ludwig number with a Slingerland snare and Zildjian cymbals. Note, if you will, the splendid new fairy lights making a live debut with the band.
