London in Spring - scenes by the River Thames and around the city, April 2015

Spring is in the air and I’ve been out and about in London with my trusty Ricoh GR camera.

Here’s a brief selection of photos taken around the banks of the River Thames and in central London.

Businessman studies some reading matter on the tube.

Not In Use, Vauxhall tube station.

Lion and washed up log, Vauxhall.

There’s something worth celebrating.

Green wood on the riverfront.

Vauxhall beach.

Looking west, with Vauxhall Bridge in the foreground.

It’s a cute face in the stone!

Low tide on the Thames.

Profound stuff.

Guantanamo sculpture.

The bronze boat that looks like it’s sailing through the foyer of the International Maritime Organisation on to the pavement of the Albert Embankment.

Built in 1921, the attractive Southwark Bridge has the honour of having the lowest traffic utilisation of any bridge in central London.

Bridge lights against a darkening sky.

Street performer outside the National Gallery.

Watching the painters.
