London’s meanest slice of cake? (Tate Modern)

I’ve had some parsimonious pastries, stingy sticky buns, frugal fruitcakes and economical Eccles cakes, but I don’t think anything has ever come close to this miserly, paltry slither of carrot cake served up at the Tate Modern a few years ago.

Offering barely more than two mouthfuls for £2.40, I decided to snap a picture of the nano-slice and send it off to the Tate Modern for comment.

Years later I’m still waiting for a response, so this warning is the best I can manage in terms of half baked revenge.

Biff! Take that Tate Modern! I won’t be visiting your cafe again!
