A march through a showery central London attracted a crowd of around 10,000 people, and we are grateful to Leticia Golubov for capturing these images.

Citing “intolerable pressures,” the union balloted members about the action, with 92% of the 40% turnout voting in favour of strike action.

The NUT website details the reasons for the strike:

Strike 26 March against:
Excessive workload and bureaucracy
Performance related pay
Unfair pension changes
