Turkish Market, Maybachufer in Berlin Neukölln, Germany

Taking place every Tuesday and Friday in Berlin is the Turkish Market in Maybachufer, Neukölln.

Open from 11am to 6.30pm, it’s a great place to buy some great food and rake in the bustle of a busy Berlin street market.

The market specialises in clothing, household goods, fruit and veg and cooked food with a strong focus on Turkish specialities, and there’s some wonderful breads and cheeses there too.

It can be found on Maybachufer, running alongside the Landwehr Canal, and there’s some pleasant spots nearby to grab a picnic (but not when it’s raining, as we discovered!).

It’s quite a big market and the narrow spaces between the stalls can get quite crowded, so be sure to schedule enough time to take it all in.

Here’s some photos from our visit:

Just before the rain started up. There were buskers playing live here.
