Red, orange and green: winter at the Union Square NYC market

Four colourful photos from the fabulous Farmers Market at Union Square, Manhattan, New York.

Held four days each week since 1976, the Union Square Greenmarket provides an outlet for regional small family farmers to sell their fruits, vegetables and other farm products.

Open all year round on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 8 AM and 6 PM, the market attracts around half a million shoppers a week, eager to get their hands on the 1,000 varieties of fruits and vegetables on offer.
