Here’s a selection of shop fronts and street signs I came across during my many walks around Brooklyn and Manhattan a couple of weeks ago.

Although a lot of the traditional store fronts of New York are being replaced by bland modern signage, there’s still a fair few old shop signs to be found.

I love the typography on this one on the Lower East Side.
