So, it’s goodbye to Brady’s, one of Brixton’s legendary boozers

So, it's goodbye to Brady's one of Brixton's legendary boozers

Really sad to see that the legendary Brady’s  bar (formerly the Railway Hotel) in Atlantic Road, SW9 has been sold off to Mayfair-based ‘property consultants.’

Famed for its distinctive six sided clock towerBrady’s was closed down in the late 1990s and has remained derelict since squatters were evicted in 2002.

Despite a concerted campaign by locals to reopen the premises as a community resource, big money won out and it’s now been scooped up by property developers Jenkins Law and offered up for rent at £85,000 per annum.

The ABCBrixton website that was set up to campaign for the reopening of this fine old pub has now vanished off the web too, with the server now riddled with viruses.
