South Korean kindergarten kids covering the Ramones. 1, 2, 3, 4!

Kindergarten kids covering the Ramones. A thing of true beauty!

Man oh man, this is magnificent. Check out this footage of the the Sullivan School kindergarten classes singing and pogoing along to the Raomones punk classic,  ‘Judy Is A Punk.’

The kids at the Sullivan School in Seoul, South Korea, were taught the song by teacher Peter Strutt as a way to help them learn English.

Speaking to news.com.au, Strutt said:

Over the course of a year, I’ll teach my students 40 plus songs, and I try to make each one count.
I want [the kids] to hear and find enjoyment in as many genres of music as possible.

If you want to sing along with the kids, here’s the original from The Ramones, with the lyrics below:

Jackie is a punk
Judy is a runt
They both went down to Berlin, joined the Ice Capades
And oh, I don’t know why
Oh, I don’t know why
Perhaps they’ll die, oh yeah [x4]

Second verse, same as the first
[Repeat first verse]

Third verse, different from the first
Jackie is a punk
Judy is a runt
They both went down to Frisco, joined the SLA
And oh, I don’t know why
Oh, I don’t know why
Perhaps they’ll die, oh yeah [x4]
