After a rather disastrous coffee at the Speakeasy Espresso and Brew Bar, our quest for a good, strong brew in a pleasant atmosphere had reached critical levels, so we were pleased to come across Tap at 193 Wardour Street, W1.
The third branch of the slowly growing coffee house empire formerly known as Tapped & Packed (the other two are on Rathbone Place and Tottenham Court Road), the mini chain now goes under the name of Tap Coffee.
We’ve drunk their coffee before so knew that we’d be in safe hands, and two very decent cups were served up, complete with the now requisite fancy pattern on the froth.
The same quirky teaspoons were in attendance too. It’s a nice homely touch.
The Wardour Street branch is quite large, and takes the form of a long narrow building with a fair bit of seating at the back.
Sorry, I just liked the little hammer graphic on the light bulb above our table.
Some blurb left on our table.
Looking towards the rear of the shop.
There was a good selection of snacks’n’cakes’n’bakes on offer. We scoffed a large biscuit between us that was rather tasty indeed.
