The ancient tradition of fishing boats on the Strade, Hastings

Home to the largest  beach-launched fishing fleet in Britain, the stretch of the beach known as the Strade in Hastings has been used as a fishing port for centuries.

Boats are dragged up on to the beach by tractors and make for a striking sight right next to the town’s centre.
