The Brixton Fridge to reopen as the Electric Brixton

The Brixton Fridge to reopen as the Electric Brixton

The endless closures and reopenings of the Brixton Fridge have been a source of frustration to Brixtonites who have enjoyed some great nights there, but it is apparently set to open its doors once again in ‘Autumn 2011.’

Introduced with a video walk-through that looks like it might have been created on an Amiga A1200, the venue looks to be offering both club nights and gigs again.

In the past, the Fridge has put on some incredible acts – both The Clash and The Smiths have both played there – so we wish it the best.

And, yes, we’d be delighted to DJ the opening night  🙂

  1. Sorry if I’ve already posted this, but in about 1999 I went to a play at the Fridge. It was about a dead monkey and starred David Soul and Antonio Fargas from Starsky and Hutch. FACT.
