The sound of a Space Shuttle launch: astonishing video footage

This is absolutely stunning stuff.  This footage from the forthcoming movie, “Special Edition Ascent: Commemorating Space Shuttle” shows a blast off from the view-point of the Solid Rocket Booster.

Created by Michael A. Interbartolo III from NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and Ben Burtt Jr at Skywalker Sound, the video runs from lift off to splash down and includes a wonderfully remixed and enhanced sound track.
