The massive CrossRail project which saw the much-loved Astoria music venue biting the dust continues apace in central London, with vast areas of Soho turned into construction sites.
The £1bn project will see the complete rebuilding of Tottenham Court Road Underground station, with Crossrail promising, “congestion relief, delivering a bigger ticket hall, additional escalators, step-free access, and interchange with Crossrail services..”
Once completed, there’ll be a shiny new ticket hall at Dean Street providing access to the western end of the Crossrail platforms and additional access to the Central line.
