Closed down in October 2006 after a turbulent history capped off by a police raid unearthing two loaded handguns and drugs, the J-Bar has had its application to reopen turned down by Lambeth Council.

Despite the jaunty bright blue and yellow paint job, the club frontage managed to remain one of the most uninviting you'll ever see, and with more than 60 locals objecting to the reopening, it's doubtful the club will ever return.
