Cardiff City 3 Chesterfield 3, April 16th 2001

This was one tough game, against a strong Chesterfield team who rode out some strong Cardiff pressure and proved to be very effective on the break.

A huge crowd of 13,000+ set the season's record for Division Three, and expectations were high for City to clinch promotion on the day.

In the end, a draw seemed a fair result, with City pulling back the injury time equaliser after being reduced to ten men.
