The death throes of a book retail giant

Once a familiar sight on many UK High Streets, Borders (UK) will be closing for good on Christmas Eve, leaving over 1,100 staff without jobs right before Christmas.

Their Oxford Street flagship store closed back in July, and we captured the last days of their other main central London store on Charing Cross Road.
