Offline at the Brixton Prince Albert, 3rd October 2008
Brixton big night out with Shazia Mirza, Danny Fontaine and the Horns of Fury and The Severed Limb.

I had my work cut out on the mixer, battling with tricky instruments like 'washboard,' 'tea chest' (top and bottom) and 'stomp box.'





Ace comedienne Shazia Mirza had the tough challenge of taking on the rambunctious Friday night Albert crowd and went down a storm!

We loved the spontaneous arty bit right at the end where a poet jumped up on the stage, held a microphone-less cable in his hand and starting reciting verse - and immediately got an audience!

SEVERED LIMB
After ripping up the dance floor at their last Brixton show, we've got the amazing Essex skiffle kids back to rock the joint. With their quiff-shaking mix of washboards, tea chest bass, box drums and harmonicas we'll be taking the Rock Island Line straight into Brixton.
