Les Invalides

Originally built as the private chapel of Louis XIV, the grandiose, gold-topped Eglise de Dôme rises 100 meters (330 feet) above the surrounding buildings of the Hôtel des Invalides.

Built between 1671-76, the dome now houses Napoleon's Tomb.
