Collapsed West Pier
After a stormy night in late December 2002, a large chunk of the West Pier's famous concert hall fell into the sea, raising fears that it will mark the end of this beautiful landmark.

The UK's only Grade 1 listed pier, the West Pier has been closed since 1975, although £1.5 had been spent strengthening the structure in preparation for restoration work.
