West Pier walkway In the mid 1990s, a temporary walkway was constructed to allow workers on to the pier to conduct preliminary restoration work. The Brighton West Pier Trust also offered tours of the pier but to my eternal chagrin, I missed my opportunity to explore this fascinating pier. With the pier now a burnt out wreck, I doubt if I'll ever get to walk along its length... [May 2003]  please donate! copyright/licensing
