National Portrait gallery

This wonderful building on the east end of Queen Street provides a fascinating visual history of Scotland, with an impressive portrait collection of notable figures.

We just managed to catch the last few days of an excellent photographic series by Wolfgang Suschitzk, one of Europe's most highly acclaimed photographers and filmmakers.
