Bicester Methodist Church Opened in 1927, this striking Methodist church in Sheep Street carried the official title of 'The Grainger Hargreaves Memorial Church' for several years. The church explained the reason for the switch back: " The church is no longer officially known as The Grainger Hargreaves memorial church, it is simply Bicester Methodist Church. The name was changed in the mid 1990's as many brides and grooms complained that their marriage certificates bore the name of a church they had never heard of!
