Climbing Tram Hill

The area was once served by a branch line from Quainton Rd, built as a horse tramway in the 1870s to serve the Duke of Buckingham's estate.

The line was bought by the Metropolitan Railway before, bizarrely, being absorbed into London Transport in 1935.

The last train ran on 30th November 1935.
