Camber station

Once the main station on the Rye and Camber tramway offering 13 trains each way serving the Golf Links, the line declined in the 1920s before total closure in 1939.

The line was taken over by the military during WW2 but when peace returned was in such bad condition the line was abandoned for good.

Pictured below is the station building circa 1910, showing the passing loop.
