Santorini 2004
Black Beach, Perivolos

Perivolos, to the south of the island, is one the most popular beaches on the island, but things were delightfully quiet when we arrived.

Offering black volcanic sands and warm seas, I enjoyed my first swim in the sea since a less than savoury dip in the icy, suspiciously brown waters of Ogmore On Sea in Wales.
