Union Inn pub, Saltash

Taken as the train snaked over the River Tamar on Brunel's 1859 Royal Albert Bridge, you can see the patriotically emblazoned frontage of Saltash's Union Inn pub below.

The pub dates from 1703, and gained the Union Jack in 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary of V.E.Day.
