Merry Maidens stone circle

Also known as the Rosemodress or Boleigh Circle, this early Bronze Age stone circle consists of 19 upright stones.

Popularly known as the 'Merry Maidens' (supposedly young girls turned to stone for dancing on a Sunday), this is just one of many ancient ceremonial sites in Cornwall.
