Into Cornwall

Brunel's final (and perhaps his greatest) engineering achievement was the magnificent 1859 Royal Albert Bridge, linking the Great Western Railway's mainline from London to Cornwall.

The bridge at Saltash has been described as a "combination of an arch and a suspension bridge" and spans the 1,100 ft wide River Tamar.
