On a rainy September afternoon, I took a stroll through central London, walking from Green Park tube station through the adjacent park, and then to St James’s Park and on to Parliament Square to photograph the Extinction Rebellion event.

As the rain increased, I walked up to Trafalgar Square – sadly passing a long line of homeless people queuing up for food – and grabbed a few more photos:

The normally busy Green Park was pretty much empty, which made for a lovely walk.

Unveiled in March, Heather Phillipson’s sculpture, titled THE END, features a giant swirl of replica whipped cream topped with a cherry, a fly and a spinning drone.
