Last week, I went along to ‘Wonderful Women of Walworth,’ a local celebration of International Women’s Day, held at The Crypt at St Peter’s, at the Elephant & Castle SE17.
One of the main movers behind the event was Lou Smith, who runs the splendid nearby Electric Elephant Cafe.
I arrived too late to see some of the acts, but managed to see Brixton musician Helen McDonald’s set.
