Green Gathering 2017 in photos - scenes around the festival site, August 2017

Here’s the last set of photos from this year’s Green Gathering festival, which takes place on the top of a hill near Chepstow, south Wales:

You can see the first Severn Bridge road crossing from the hill.

Entering the site through a wood.

A polka dot caravan!

The recycling options were plentiful.

Lovely old Commer truck.

There’s plenty of workshops, talks and activities at the festival.

It’s not really my thing, but if you’re into crystals, healing and all that new age kind of stuff, the Green Gathering is definitely for you!

I gave this a miss.

A tent. With a front door! Want.

That Whirl-Y-Gig-like parachute thing.

Travelling Storytelling Theatre.

Wooden carvings for sale.

Cue: Theme music for Follyfoot.

In the Permaculture field.

Enter the Fairy Glade.

A wooden dragon.

Unicorn ahoy!

Tipi field. With a hat.

Anti nuclear banners.

Activist photo exhibition.

In the Speaker’s Forum.

Looking across the site.

The lovely 99% Bar.

The site is overlooked by Piercefield House, a largely ruined neo-classical country house designed by Sir John Soane.

The festival at night.

The Swing Maidens ensured that the kids were kept airborne on the swings!

Bah! Just a few years too old.

All power used at the festival is derived from renewable sources.

For all your spoon making needs.

Last look at the festival before heading home.
