I can\u00a0definitely\u00a0recommend paying a visit to the\u00a0Landscape Photographer of the Year 2012 exhibition at the National Theatre, London – and the good news is that the\u00a0exhibition’s\u00a0run has now been extended to Feb 9th 2013.<\/p>\n

The show features over 100 large scale photographs showing off some of the most beautiful and striking landscapes in the UK.<\/p>\n

There’s some truly\u00a0fantastic\u00a0work to be seen,\u00a0although with so many landscape shots on offer, I soon started to overdose a bit on misty hillsides, foggy woods, stormy seas\u00a0and\u00a0picturesque\u00a0winter scenes.<\/p>\n

That said, there is some magnificent work on offer, and I certainly felt somewhat ‘umbled by the\u00a0quality\u00a0of some of the images.<\/p>\n

There’s a little cafe right next to the photos, so you can grab a drink and soak up the art.<\/p>\n

The free\u00a0exhibition\u00a0takes place in the\u00a0Lyttelton\u00a0Exhibition Space at the National Theatre and runs until the\u00a09th Feb 2013 – so get there quick!<\/p>\n

Exhibition opening hours are 9.30am to 11pm [more info<\/a>].<\/p>\n

It was quite nice to walk around a near-deserted National Theatre too.<\/p>\n

The brutalist\u00a0architecture\u00a0has divided opinion since it was built in the 1970s, and has managed to appear\u00a0simultaneously in lists of the top ten “most popular” and “most hated” London buildings in opinion surveys! [Source<\/a>]<\/p>\n
