On Saturday, I popped along to see the first\u00a0record fair to be held at the The Canterbury Arms boozer in Brixton.<\/p>\n

The event was put on by my chum, Ian Watson. He’s the fella behind the long-running indie club \u2018How Does It Feel To Be Loved<\/a>,’ and he described the record fair as being, “a bit like the Independent Label Market meets your favourite second hand record shop.”<\/p>\n

There was a good crowd there\u00a0throughout\u00a0the day, with the event running\u00a0from 12pm to 5pm.<\/p>\n

\"Brixton\u2019s<\/p>\n

The pub was open so record shoppers were able to enjoy a pint or two and listen to a selection of DJs playing tunes throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Several labels had set up stalls,\u00a0including\u00a0Cherry Red Records (above),\u00a0Fortuna POP!, Where It\u2019s At Is Where You Are, Odd Box, Fika, How Does It Feel To Be Loved?, The Great Pop Supplement and Dirty Water Records.<\/p>\n

Here’s the ‘bloke with the portable record deck’ who runs the rather\u00a0fabulous One O’Clock Record Club<\/a>, which, as its name suggests, plays one record at 1PM every day from Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n
