A very lively away crowd saw Dulwich Hamlet comfortably see off local rivals Tooting & Mitcham in the\u00a0NK Stadium in deepest Morden\u00a0yesterday.<\/p>\n

The game had it all: passion, goals, smoke bombs, a mini-pitch invasion, banter, goalkeeper-taunting and, of course, another three points for the mighty Hamlet.<\/p>\n

It’s a bugger to get to, but Tooting’s ground is a decent\u00a0enough\u00a0affair, and it was a treat to be able to get a tasty Jamaican veggie pattie from their hot food bar.<\/p>\n

Dulwich (playing in blue) dominated the first half, but failed to\u00a0convert\u00a0their superiority into\u00a0goals.<\/p>\n

Great to see the German team. Altona FC being\u00a0incorporated into a Dulwich banner. Around fifty of their supporters visited the Hamlet earlier\u00a0this month<\/a>\u00a0and had\u00a0something\u00a0of a party.<\/p>\n

In the bar. They could use more staff here – we gave up trying to get a pint at half time.<\/p>\n

Seconds after the\u00a0second\u00a0half\u00a0kicked\u00a0off,\u00a0Ellis Green heading home for Hamlet – and the first of several flares went off in the Dulwich end.<\/p>\n

There’s not many grounds where you can sit at a picnic table and watch the\u00a0game!<\/p>\n

Tooting centre half heads into his own net to make it 2-0 to the Hamlet in the 75th minute.<\/p>\n

The Tooting goalie found himself on the receiving end of a\u00a0merciless\u00a0ribbing and to his credit, he took it very well indeed. Nice one, fella.<\/p>\n

Hamlet nearly make it three in the dying minutes.<\/p>\n

Full time – and the 2-0 win sees Dulwich now on equal points with leaders Maidstone but with a game in hand. The league title is for the taking!<\/p>\n

Kudos must go to the Tooting\u00a0security\u00a0staff who almost certainly had a more stressful afternoon than they would have liked. To their credit, they handled the high spirits of the Hamlet fans well and didn’t over react.<\/p>\n
