On Saturday afternoon, I took a stroll along the south bank of the Thames from Vauxhall to Waterloo. Apart from having to battle through the hideous tourist scrum around the London Eye, it’s a really pleasant walk.<\/p>\n

Here’s some photos from the start of my walk at Vauxhall.<\/p>\n

You can walk on to the beach at low tide. Here’s some scratched graffiti on the river wall.<\/p>\n

A ‘duck boat’ amphibious bus\u00a0departs from Vauxhall.<\/p>\n

The boat caught fire the day after<\/a>, forcing passengers to abandon ship and wade into the Thames.<\/p>\n

Looking west in a view dominated by the 50 floor\u00a0St George Wharf Tower (Vauxhall Tower).<\/p>\n
