Sadly, any hopes of crunching my way through snow that was lying deep and crisp and even<\/em> over the hillsides of north Cardiff were crushed by the bright sun that greeted Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

Still, at least it wasn’t raining, \u00a0so I chirpily set off for my traditional climb around Graig Llanishen, which leads on to Caerphilly Mountain.<\/p>\n

Looking east towards Bristol. I could see the Severn Bridge crossing in the far distance.<\/p>\n

Casting a long shadow at the top of the hill. Caerphilly can be seen in the distance.<\/p>\n

Looking up at the start of the Valleys.<\/p>\n

This tree had come down during the recent storms.<\/p>\n

It was a lovely day for a walk (although I still would have preferred lashings of the aforementioned white stuff!).<\/p>\n

A last look before I headed home for a well earned Christmas dinner.<\/p>\n
