Looking fabulously daft is this giant sized cock which currently occupies the fourth plinth of Trafalgar Square in central London.<\/p>\n

Created by Katharina Fritsch, ‘Hahn\/Cock’ is a 4.72m high giant sized domestic farmyard cockerel, resplendent in a vibrant ultramarine blue finish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Designed to\u00a0symbolise “regeneration, awakening and strength,” the cock will remain perched on the plinth until early 2015.<\/p>\n

I think it looks great – it brings a smile to my face whenever I see it.<\/p>\n

Antony Gormley’s ‘ One & Other’ project ran from\u00a0July to October 2009 and invited a total of 2,400 selected members of the public to spend one hour on the plinth.<\/p>\n

Running over the course of a hundred consecutive days, there was always something interesting\/strange going on – even in the dead of night.<\/p>\n

Mation, one of the regulars from the urban75 bulletin board, took an early morning slot between 2-3am on a Friday morning, with friends turning the Square into a mini rave<\/a>. Much mischief was had!<\/p>\n

Unveiled on Monday 24 May 2010, “Nelson\u2019s Ship in a Bottle<\/a>\u201d was a delightful piece by leading Anglo-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare.<\/p>\n
